Led by forward-thinking managing director Siobhan Clarke and director of property and front of house Julie Sherlock, Your Healthcare is a shining example of how the NHS could look in future. Empowering its dedicated staff of healthcare professionals by investing in more modern and flexible working environments, it is determined to be a beacon for others to follow.
Sherlock convened an internal change team that included the heads of brand and communication, estates and facilities, and Flute’s design team. Together we created a new type of drop-in working space for staff to use on a flexible basis, complete with an inspiration and ideas board containing 350 interchangeable coloured cards and a wall motif of the Your Healthcare family tree.
Comprising workstations, screens, meeting tables, shelf units, carpets and window blinds all made from waste materials, the space was opened with ribbon cutting and champagne, and has been used 12 hours a day for the past 12 months. The space has proved a great success and Flute is now in the process of installing more zones made from waste as well as replacing the signage throughout the building with new signs made from waste.
“We are delighted to be working with Flute and anticipate extending the programme to all areas of the organisation,” says Sherlock.
It's incredibly easy to make a start on introducing the exciting economic and environmental advantages of upcycling to your organisation. Our simple three-step process has been designed to help you communicate these in a compelling way, demonstrating the quality and desirability of products made from waste and their practical application in your day-to-day business.
